The collaboration between the two authorities to maintain and develop newtodenmark.dk is based on the following objectives:
- newtodenmark.dk should give users a coherent overview of the rules regarding immigration to Denmark
- newtodenmark.dk should offer user oriented information which is relevant, useful and easy to understand
- newtodenmark.dk should be an action oriented platform for digital self-service in the area of immigration
- information and digital services on newtodenmark.dk should be designed based on user needs, within the boundaries of the legislation
Newtodenmark.dk's primary target group is foreign nationals who wish to reside in Danmark, or are already residing here, as well as their family members. The primary target group also includes third-parties (lawyers, relocation companies etc.) as well as employers and educational institutions where foreign nationals are employed or educated.
The secondary target group consists of partners from other public authorities (the police, municipal authorities, the Refugee Appeals Board, the Immigration Appeals Board, the State Administration etc.) and other partners (the Red Cross, the Danish Refugee Council etc.) as well as the press. Finally, there is a target group comprised of others with an interest in the area of immigration (students, politicians, NGOs etc.)
