New work scheme at SIRI per 1 January 2027 – the Collective Agreement Scheme
The Collective Agreement Scheme allows hiring of foreign employees at a lower minimum salary amount if the employment is covered by a collective agreement.
On 1 January 2027, the new Collective Agreement Scheme comes into effect.
To be granted a permit under the scheme, the foreigner must be offered a position with a yearly minimum salary of DKK 322,000 (2026 level).
The position in which the foreigner is employed must be covered by a collective agreement.
Finally, the foreigner must be a citizen of one of 16 countries.
Companies must be certified before they can hire foreign employees, and before the employee can apply for a residence and work permit at SIRI.
Dates for submitting an application for certification as well as residence and work permit
SIRI expects that companies will be able to submit an application for certification at the beginning of December 2026. More information will be provided later on our website.
Applications will be processed from 1 January 2027 as the scheme comes into effect.
New application pages to apply for certification as well as residence and work permits will be launched on our website.
