SIRI updates PR1: application for a residence and work permit as an intern – what does this mean for you as a professional user?
You can use PR1 to apply for a residence and work permit in Denmark as an intern. With this update, you will encounter new workflows throughout the application, depending on your role in the application process and whom you represent.
If you started part 1 of PR1 before 1 July, please ensure you submit your part of the application in good time so that the applicant can submit their part by Friday 31 July at the latest.
If you start an application after 1 July, you and the applicant will automatically complete the updated PR1.
What does this mean for you as a place of internship?
If the place of internship and the applicant complete each their part of the application
If, at the start of the application, you choose for the place of internship and the applicant to complete each their part of the application – i.e. the place of internship completes part 1 and the applicant completes part 2 of PR1 – you will still need to provide the applicant’s email address at the end of your part so that the applicant can log in to their part and complete the application.
If the place of internship completes the application on behalf of the applicant
If, instead, you also complete the application on behalf of the applicant and select this option at the start of the application, you will begin a process that allows you to complete the entire application in one go by logging in and signing a single, combined application using MitID. During this process, you will need to provide details about yourself, the intern and the internship. Once you have done so, you will receive a Digital Post receipt and the application will then be received in our case management system. This means that you do not need to log in to the platform again using the ‘applicant’s’ profile to complete part 2 of the application. We have already received all the information we needed.
What does this mean for you as a third party?
If a third party is representing both the place of internship and the applicant
If, as a third party, you are completing the application on behalf of both the place of internship and the applicant, and you select this option at the start of the application process, you will begin a process that allows you to complete the entire application in one go by logging in and signing a single, combined application using MitID. During this process, you will need to provide details about yourself, the place of internship, the intern and the internship. Once you have done this, you will receive a Digital Post receipt and the application will then be received in our case management system. This means that you do not need to log in to the platform again using the ‘applicant’s’ profile to complete part 2 of the application. We have already received all the information we needed.
If a third party is representing only the place of internship
If, as a third party, you are completing the application on behalf of the place of internship but not on behalf of the applicant, you must select the option ‘The place of internship and the applicant complete each their part of the application’ at the start of the application. You will then be able to fill in the details about yourselves as the third party in part 1 of the application.
What should the intern be aware of?
If the place of internship has already either started or submitted part 1 of PR1 before 1 July, the applicant must submit part 2 of the application by Friday 31 July at the latest. The same applies if the applicant has already started filling in part 2 of the application.
