Adjustment of the Positive Lists
The Positive Lists that SIRI published on 1 January 2026 have been adjusted with a number of changes to the positions that are included in the lists.
On 1 January 2026, SIRI published new Positive Lists for Skilled Work and People with a Higher Education. It has since become clear that there were a number of minor errors in the overviews of positions with labour shortages, on which the Positive Lists were based.
SIRI is therefore publishing adjusted Positive Lists that are effective from today.
The large majority of positions remain unchanged.
However, there have been minor changes, and a small number of positions have been removed. If you have submitted an application for a residence and work permit for one of the positions that was added to the list on 1 January but is no longer on the Positive Lists, you will hear from SIRI.
The Positive List for People with a Higher Education contains 180 positions, while there are 54 positions on the Positive List for Skilled Work.
