SIRI opens a citizen centre in Nuuk, Greenland

SIRI's new citizen centre in Nuuk will open on 12 November 2025.

If you are applying for residence in Greenland under one of SIRI's schemes and are staying in Nuuk, from 12 November 2025 you can submit your application directly to SIRI's new citizen centre instead of to the police in Nuuk.

Outside Nuuk, however, you must still contact the police.

At SIRI Nuuk, you can:

• submit your application,

• collect your residence and work permit,

• obtain re-entry permits and laissez-passer (temporary passports).

No appointment is needed at SIRI Nuuk, so you can simply show up during opening hours

Always remember to bring your passport when you visit SIRI. If you are an EU citizen, you can also bring your national ID card.
