Specifically for citizens of Chile: Quota for number of residence permits after the Working Holiday scheme
A yearly quota of 150 Working Holiday residence permits in Denmark for citizens of Chile has come into effect. The quota is calculated from March in a given year until February the following year. Permits will be granted on a first come, first served principle.
Two quota periods
For the period from March until August (1st quota period) SIRI can grant a maximum of 75 residence permits for citizens of Chile.
For the period from September until February (2nd quota period) SIRI kan grant a maximum number of residence permits equvalent to the remainder of the yearly quota.
When can I be granted a Working Holiday residence permit in Denmark?
Since the suspension is being repealed in the middle of the 2nd quota period and since no residence permits have been granted during the 1st quota period due to the suspension, SIRI can grant 150 Working Holiday residence permits to citizens of Chile for the period 30 October 2021 until 28 February 2022. When the quota is full, the remaining applications will be rejected and the case processing fee of DKK 2,000 (2021 level) will be refunded.
Submitting the application
In addition, a requirement has come into effect that applications from citizens of Chile for Working Holiday residence permits must be submitted in person in Chile. This means that applications from citizens of Chile submitted online and applications submitted in person in any other country than Chile will be rejected. If the application is rejected, the case processing fee of DKK 2,000 (2021 level) will be refunded minus an administrative fee of DKK 895 (2021 level).
