Financial requirements

To obtain a residence permit as a guest researcher, you must document that you can support yourself.

Consequently, when you submit your application you must document that you have at your disposal an amount equivalent to social benefits for single non-providers over the age of 30 for the entire period of time that you apply for.

The annual amount is DKK 133,716 for you (the main applicant) (12 x 11,143, 2017 level). This means that if you apply for a residence permit with a duration of two years, you must document that you have at your disposal DKK 267,432 (24 x 11,143, 2017 level).

You can see the financial requirements in the table below. The table shows the amount you must have at your disposal for yourself and any accompanying family members at the time you submit your application.
