SIRI makes it mandatory to use online application forms for certain types of applications

Starting 1 July 2017 using an online application form will become mandatory when submitting an application for an extension of a residence permit to the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI). At the same time using an online application form will be mandatory when applying for a new residence card.

Online application forms will be mandatory for the following types of applications (name of the relevant application form is given in the parenthesis):

  • Extension of permits in the area of work (AR3 online)
  • Extension of permits in the area of study (ST3 online)
  • Extension of permits for PhD students (PHD2 online)
  • Extension of permits for interns in the green sector (PR2 online)
  • Extension of permits for other interns (PR3 online)
  • Extension of permits for au pairs (AU1 online)
  • Extension of permits for volunteers and authorisation seekers (XG1 online)
  • Extension of permits for accompanying family members (MF1 online)
  • Application for a new residence card (KO1 online)
This means you must use the relevant online application form made available by SIRI at newtodenmark.dk if you wish to submit one of the applications listed above.

If you do not submit an online application form, SIRI can reject the application. This means that the application will not be processed and you must apply again.

Using the online application forms involves a number of benefits. When you submit an online application form to SIRI, the form will help you make sure that you have given all relevant and necessary information. The questions in the online form adapt to the individual user as you complete the form. All the information given in the form is transferred directly to the agency’s case processing systems. This means faster and more flexible case processing and by extension improved service for our users.

SIRI will publish another news item when the executive order regarding mandatory use of online application forms becomes available.
