Brexit - applying after the deadline 31 December 2021

The deadline for residence for UK citizens based on the Withdrawal Agreement between the EU and the United Kingdom expired on 31 December 2021. If you have not met the deadline, you are still able to submit an application for a new residence document after the Withdrawal Agreement, even though the deadline has passed, if there are reasonable reasons that you are submitting your application late. If you are a close family member to a UK citizen residing in Denmark based on the Withdrawal Agreement – e.g. if you are a newborn child to a UK citizen – or if you are to apply for permanent residence after the Withdrawal Agreement after 31 December 2021, you are also able to submit an application.
