The Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI) has set response times (processing times) for several case areas. These are the time limits for how long you can expect to have to wait for SIRI to decide on your application.

We calculate the processing time from the time you submit your application until we have made a decision.

In most cases, we receive the necessary and relevant information from the start, so that we can make a decision.

SIRI decides whether we need further information or documentation to decide on your application. If we are missing information in your case, you will be notified as soon as possible. Otherwise, you will typically only hear from us when we send you a decision.

The response times taken to reach a decision on an application vary. It depends on the type of application.

For example, if you submit an application on 1 August and the application has a processing time of 1 month, you will, as a rule, receive a decision by 1 September that year at the latest.

If we are in any doubt about whether your salary and terms of employment correspond to Danish standards, we may ask experts in the field, such as one of the regional labour market councils, to assess your terms of employment. When this happens, it may mean that it takes us longer to decide on your application. We may also need to obtain further documentation from you or other authorities. This will also result in a longer processing time.

Processing times may also be affected if we receive an unusally high number of applications, for example due to seasonal variations.
