Apply for residence permit as a religious worker digitally

A new digital application solution makes it possible to apply online for residence permit as a member of the clergy, missionary or to serve a religious order or denomination in some other capacity, such as a nun or monk.

The Immigration Service’ new digital application form can be used from today 27 January 2022. The digital form is called RF1 online and can be used to apply for a first time residence permit and and extension of a residence permit as a religious worker.

The new digital form can be accessed at the relevant application sites here at newtodenmark.dk under You want to apply and You want to extend

RF1 online automatically adjusts to the user’s current situation during the application process. By doing this Rf1 online makes the application process easier for the user and at the same time contributes to ensuring that the user submits all the relevant and necessary information.

How to use RF1 online

RF1 online consists of two parts: Part 1 must be filled out by the denomination/religious order in Denmark and part 2 must be filled out by the religious worker applying for residence permit.

Please note that you must log in and sign part 1 with NemID/MitID. That is not a requirement in part 2.

RF1 online contains a detailed guidance on how to fill out and submit the digital application.

An alternative to paper-based application forms

RF1 online is an alternative to the paper-based application form RF1, which is still available at the relevant application sites.
