The Immigration Service moves to Næstved

15 June 2020 the Danish Immigration Service’ main domicile moves from Østerbro in Copenhagen to Næstved. Read more about the consequences of the relocation below.

From 15 June the Immigration Service has the following address:

DK-4700 Næstved

If you want to send us physical mail or visit our Citizen Service from 15 June you must use this address. 

Please note, the Immigration Service’ Citizen Service is still closed due to the corona situation, and it is therefore not possible to visit us. There is though exceptions if you must have biometric features recorded, and you book an appointment for this. Read more about biometric features and booking of appointments

Centre for Asylum is still located in Birkerød

The Immigration Service is divided in three centers. The centre that handles case areas regarding asylum, Centre for Asylum, will not be relocated to Næstved. Centre for Asylum is still located in Birkerød in connection to the reception center Sandholm.

If you have to appear to an asylum interview or have another errand at Centre for Asylum it will still take place in Birkerød.

The police offices capable of recording biometric features closes at Sydsjælland and Lolland-Falster

When the Immigration Service’ Citizen Service moves to Næstved the two police stations at Sydsjælland’s and Lollands-Falster’s police, where it until now has been possible to submit application and have biometric features recorded, closes:

  • The office in Næstved closes 15 June 2020
  • The office in Nykøbing Falster closes 1 July 2020

We refer applicants, who have used these offices until now, to use the Immigration Service’ Citizen Service in Næstved in the future. 

Please note, that all police offices cable of recording biometric features are temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 situation.
