Bill to repeal regulation regarding residence permits based on labour market attachment has been passed

The Danish Parliament has passed a bill to repeal the regulation granting residence permits based on labour market attachment.

The change means that new applications based on labour market attachment will not be accepted from 1 July 2018.

It is still possible to apply for a residence permit based on labour market attachment until and including 30 June 2018.

After 1 July 2018 it will still be possible to apply for an extension of a residence permit based on labour market attachment.

The Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration will process applications for a residence permit based on labour market attachment submitted before 1 July 2018 according to the current regulations.
