SIRI opens for personal service on Bornholm and the Danish police stops receiving applications from foreign nationals on 1 August 2020
Starting 1 August 2020 the Danish police will no longer service foreign nationals. This means that you can no longer have your biometric features recorded or submit an application for residence or for a re-entry permit at a Danish police station. However, the police continue to service foreign nationals on the Faroe Islands and in Greenland.
At the same time the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI) opens for personal service in Rønne on the island of Bornholm. Just like in SIRI's other branch offices, you must always book an appointment before appearing in person.
From 1 August 2020 you must appear in person in one of SIRI's branch offices if you need to do the following:
- Submit an application for residence (based on one of SIRI's schemes)
- Have your biometric features recorded (after having submitted an application for residence based on one of SIRI's schemes)
- Apply for a re-entry permit (based on an application after one of SIRI's schemes)

SIRI maintains branch offices in Copenhagen, Odense, Aalborg, Aarhus and Aabenraa. In addition, SIRI will in the future service foreign nationals on a monthly basis in Rønne on Bornholm.

Remember, you must always book an appointment before appearing in person at one of SIRI's branch offices. Also remember to bring your passport or your national ID-card.
We ask you to show consideration when you book an appointment to appear in person. Be on time and cancel your appointment, if you cannot make it. That way, someone else can use it.

You must appear in person at SIRI if you are applying for
- Residence based on EU regulations
- Permanent residence in Denmark based on EU regulations
- Residence in Denmark based on work or study
- Residence as an au pair, intern or volunteer
- Residence based on Establishment Card or Greencard
- Authorisation stay
- Residence as accompanying family to an employee or student
You should not contact SIRI in regard to asylum or family reunification
If you are in Denmark based on asylum or family reunification, you must instead contact the Danish Immigration Service. If you are holding or applying for permanent residence based on the Danish Aliens Act, you must also contact the Danish Immigration Service.
