SIRI has extended case processing times for the Fast Track Scheme
SIRI is receiving more applications under the Fast Track Scheme than expected. If you have submitted an application under the Fast Track Scheme, you should expect longer case processing times than usual. Furthermore, the Contact Person Scheme will be temporarily suspended.
For the past months, SIRI has experienced a great increase in the number of applications for a residence and work permit under the Fast Track Scheme. As a result, we are now faced with more applications than expected.
At the moment, we are unable to meet the service goal of one month for applications under the Fast Track Scheme. The current average case processing time is two months. Consequently, you should expect longer case processing times if you have submitted an application under the Fast Track Scheme.
We are working hard to once again be able to meet our service goals as soon as possible.
In order to support faster case processing we have temporarily suspended the Contact Person Scheme until 1 September 2021. Companies attached to the Contact Person Scheme will be able to contact SIRI’s call centre or write to SIRI, if they have urgent questions which cannot be answered via newtodenmark.dk.
If you are a visa free applicant or already have legal access to Denmark, you can apply for a temporary work permit. If you do not have legal access to Denmark, and you need a visa to enter Denmark, you can apply for quick job start. Both arrangements enable applicants under the Fast Track Scheme to begin work even if their application has not been processed.
