Special measures for individuals prevented from travelling due to Russian forest fires
Russian citizens and other permanent residents of Russia delayed due to the forest fires from returning home after visiting Denmark can have their visas extended.
If you are a Russian citizen or citizen of another country permanently residing in Russia, and are due to return home after visiting Denmark on a visa stay, you can have your visa extended if you are unable or unwilling to return to Russia due to the smoke from the forest fires currently affecting the country.
If you are granted a visa extension, it will normally last 14 days. There is no fee.
If you have been delayed due to the forest fires and need to have your visa extended, please visit your nearest police station. If you are in the Greater Copenhagen area, you can visit the main office of the Immigration Service at Ryesgade 53, 2100 Copenhagen during regular opening hours (Monday-Friday 8:30-12, additional opening hours on Thursday from 3:30-5:00).
