The Faroe Islands and Greenland

Humanitarian residence permit, Danish citizenship, integration, appeals

Applications for humanitarian residence permits and Danish citizenship, all work regarding integration, and appeals regarding decisions made by the Danish Immigration Service were previously the responsibility of the Ministry of Integration. In connection with the change of government in October 2011, the Ministry of Integration was closed and the ministry's responsibilities were transferred to other ministries:

  • Danish language learning for foreigners belongs under the Ministry of Children and Education, tel. +45 33 92 50 00
  • Integration politics, prevention of radicalisation, and integration analyses belong under the Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration, tel. +45 33 92 93 00
  • Integration of refugees and immigrants into the labour market and the educational system, including introductory programmes, belong under the Ministry of Employment, tel. +45 72 20 50 00
