Residence permit issued by another Schengen country

Foreign nationals who have been issued certain types of residence permits by another Schengen country do not need a visa to enter Denmark.

If you are in doubt about whether your residence permit allows you to enter and stay in Denmark or the other Schengen countries, you should check with the country that issued your residence permit.

All residence permits which are issued by the Danish authorities in the form of a residence sticker or residence card and which are valid for Denmark, are also valid for entering and staying in the other Schengen countries. Residence permits which are only valid for the Faeroe Islands or Greenland are not valid for entering the Schengen region.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet the other conditions for entering and staying in Denmark or another Schengen country. You can find more information about the rules for entering Denmark on this web portal.
