Overview of documents, which permit entry into Denmark without a visa.

Residence permits for foreign nationals (uniform design)
Valid from six months to unlimited. Issued to all foreign nationals who are legally residing in Greece.
The abovementioned residence permit is placed in the travelling documents, which are recognized by Greece. If a third country citizen does not possess any travel documentation that is recognized by Greece, the competent Greek service places the uniformly designed residence permit on a special form. This special form is issued by the Greek authorities based on article 7 in regulation (EU) 333/2002 with the safety regulations as determined in the regulation; the form has three vertical colour stripes in the colours orange, green, and orange and is called "Φύλλο επί του οποίου τίθεται άδεια διαμονής" (Form for placement of residence permit).

Residence permits for foreign nationals (beige/yellow)1
Issued to all foreign nationals who legally reside in Greece; valid from one year to unlimited.
(Since 1 July 2003, such permits are no longer issued.)

Issued to foreign nationals married to Greek citizens; valid for five years.
(The permits apply until they expire. Since 2 June 2001, such permits are no longer issued.)

Issued to persons who have achieved refugee status pursuant to the Geneva Convention from 1951.
(It is expected that this type of residence permit will be replaced by the “independent document”, which is prescribed in the Council’s regulation no. 1030/2002. The member states will be informed as soon as this change has occurred.)
- Δελτιο ταυτοτητασ αλλοδαπου (χρώμα πράσινο)
(Identity card for foreign nationals) (green)
Issued exclusively to foreign nationals of Greek descent; valid for two or five years.
(It is expected that this type of residence permit will be replaced by the “independent document”, which is prescribed in the Council’s regulation no. 1030/2002. The member states will be informed as soon as this change has occurred.)
- Ειδικο δελτιο ταυτοτητασ ομογενουσ (χρώμα μπες)
Special identity cards for persons of Greek descent (beige coloured)
Issued to Albanian citizens of Greek descent; valid for three years. The same identity cards are also issued to spouses regardless of their nationality and their children provided the family relationship can be documented with an official document.

Special identity cards for persons of Greek descent (pink)
Issued to foreign nationals of Greek descent in the former USSR; unlimited validity.
(It is expected that this type of residence permit will be replaced by the “independent document”, which is prescribed in the Council’s regulation no. 1030/2002. The member states will be informed as soon as this change has occurred.)

- Type "D" (χρώματος κόκκινου)
Diplomatic staff (red)
Issued to the executive for and members of a diplomatic mission as well as their family members (spouses and children under 18), who are holders of diplomatic passports.
Type "A" (χρώματος πορτοκαλί)
Administrative and technical staff (orange)
Issued to members of a diplomatic mission’s staff as well as their family members (spouses and children under 18) who are holders of diplomatic passports.
- Type "S" (χρώματος πράσινου)
Service staff (green)
Issued to members of a diplomatic mission’s service staff as well as their family members (spouses and children under 18).
- Type "CC" (χρώματος μπλε)
Consul official (blue)
Issued to members of consul representations' staff as well as their family members (spouses and children under 18).
- Type "CE" (χρώματος γαλάζιου)
Consulate personnel (pale blue)
Issued to members of consul representations' administrative staff as well as their family members (spouses and children under 18).
- Type "CH" (χρώματος γκρίζου)
Honorary consul (grey)
Issued to honorary consuls.
- Type "IO" (χρώματος βαθέος μωβ)
International organisation (dark purple)
Issued to members of an international organisation’s staff as well as their family members (spouses and children under 18) who have diplomatic status.

International organisation (pale purple)
Issued to members of an international organisation’s administrative staff as well as their family members (spouses and children under 18)
It must be noted that an EU flag is printed on the flip side of the new identification documents for EU member states’ citizens and for the abovementioned categories A-E.
