The Integration Department
The Integration Department has the responsibility for the formulation of the overall integration policies in Denmark – including integration law, legislation regarding teaching Danish as a second language for adult foreigners and the repatriation act.

The Department is moreover in charge of the Ministry’s finances, statistics and analytical work also placed within the Integration Department.

The primary areas of responsibility for the Division of Employment and Training are the integration of refugees and foreigners into the labour market and the education system.
The Division also works to strengthen and broaden voluntary, local integration efforts and to build up cooperation with private organisations and associations.
The Division is furthermore responsible for the Integration Ministry’s campaign ‘Brug for alle unge’ (We need all young people), which works towards ensuring more young people with another ethnic background than Danish complete an education.

The main tasks of the Finance and Analysis Division are primarily concerned with budget and financial management, coordination of statistics and the preparation of studies in the area of immigration.
The main tasks comprise:
Preparation of statistical publications on foreigners
Undertaking studies into the development of the integration of foreigners, the number of foreigners and the consequences on society of this development
Benchmarking of municipal integration efforts
Exchange and communication of experience in the integration field (including the development of the Experience Database of the Ministry of Integration)
Coordination of the research initiatives taken by the Ministry concerning refugees and immigrants and their integration
The Division also offers Secretariat assistance to the Think Tank of the Minister for Integration.

Issues concerning increased efforts to help socially vulnerable refugees and immigrants
International cooperation on integration and the combat of racism
Administration of subsidy schemes in the integration field
