Most work with occupational safety and health at the workplace takes place in companies. But there are also others who work with working environment.

The Danish Working Environment Authority
The Danish Working Environment Authority exists to ensure observance of the Danish Act on Working Environment. The Danish Working Environment Authority inspects the working environment at all companies with employees and ensures that all matters are in order.

There are also 11 different industrial working environment councils that produce manuals, guides and informational materials about working environment for their respective industries.

The purpose of the centre is to convey the latest knowledge on working environment to employers, employees and safety representatives via the centre's website, www.arbejdsmiljoviden.dk, which serves as a comprehensive portal.
Trade unions and employers' associations
Trade unions and employers' associations naturally play an important role in the development of working environment regulations.
The trade unions also have working environment divisions. Here, you and your local unit at the workplace can attain guidance on working environment issues and assistance if there are accidents or injuries at the workplace.
