The Workindenmark centres
As a supplement to the 91 job centres the government has established three Workindenmark centres in Copenhagen (Høje Taastrup), Odense, and Århus. The centres are linked to the EU employment service
EURES and comprise more than 30 recruitment experts who can help Danish employers and foreign job seekers to find each other. Along with the centres, the website
https://www.workindenmark.dk/ (in Danish, English and German) has been launched. The website displays nearly all English job adverts in Denmark.
On the website you can set up a profile CV and search for vacant jobs free of charge. Likewise, Danish employers can post job adverts and seek new employees in the CV bank. Here you can also find important information about job opportunities, as well as the rules for working in Denmark, tax, social welfare, health insurance, unemployment insurance, unemployment benefits, living conditions, etc. Finally, a special Polish hotline has been established. If you are primarily interested in seasonal work, then visit the website: www.seasonalwork.dk.
You can contact one of the three Workindenmark centres if you need more information, for example if you want to know more about the labour market in Denmark, information concerning specific rules regarding work permits etc.
The Workindenmark centres offer specialised information and services with regard to international recruitment, which the 91 job centres, businesses and foreign job seekers can draw upon. These include:
- Helping companies and foreign workers in general, for example:
- how to use Jobnet or Workindenmark’s Job and CV bank
- be the link between an employer and a jobseeker if the employer has a job vacancy
- provide information helpful for job seekers coming to Denmark (job opportunities, CPR number, employment contract etc.)
- provide information on how to transfer unemployment benefits from an EU/EEA country (E303 Formula) to Denmark or vice versa - Guiding foreign students in how to find a job and where to get their foreign education accredited
- Providing information for cross-border commuters between Denmark and Sweden, and Denmark and Germany
- The ability to target sectors of the job market with the greatest labour shortages
- Assisting the implementation of major international recruitment initiatives
- Promoting EURES (European Employment Service) services to employers
- Cooperating with authorities in Denmark and abroad
