Assessment of your non-Danish qualifications
You may find an assessment of your non-Danish from the Danish Agency for International Education helpful when looking for a job in Denmark. If your profession is regulated, you may also need authorisation from the relevant authority.
You can get an assessment of your non-Danish qualifications by sending an application to the Danish Agency for International Education.
You need to fill in the application form, sign it and send it by post to the Danish Agency for International Education along with the required documentation.

The Danish Agency for International Education does not charge a fee for assessing your non-Danish qualifications. However, the agency cannot offer to translate any of your documents, should this be required.
What can I do with the assessment?
An assessment by the Danish Agency for International Education is a brief statement stating what your non-Danish qualifications correspond to in Denmark, which educational level you have attained, and which professional field your education belongs to.
When you apply for a job, the assessment can make it easier for a Danish employer to understand your qualifications.
An assessment is no guarantee for a job. It is up to the individual employer to decide whether or not they need your educational qualifications and work experience.
If the employer is a Danish public authority, however, it is required to base its decision on assessment by the Danish Agency for International Education in terms of the level of your foreign qualifications.
Some jobs require authorisation
If you want to work in a profession that is subject to special regulation in Denmark you will need authorisation from the relevant authority. To give a few examples, this applies to doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals, as well as primary and secondary school teachers.
