Expat in Denmark

The Expat in Denmark network is jointly run by the Danish Ministry of Economics and Business Affairs and a consortium made up of the Danish Chamber of Commerce (Dansk Erhverv), The Copenhagen Post newspaper, and the Danish Bankers Association (Finansrådet). Here you can get in contact with other expats and representatives from the private sector.

Specifically, Expat in Denmark organises events and networks focussing on expats’ social and professional needs, and targets all expat professionals throughout Denmark. In addition, it targets the needs of expat spouses and families, through the creation of eight regional spouse networks. All information about these activities, and how to take part, can be found on their website.

Expat in Denmark also hosts a live hotline service: Monday-Friday 1-4pm. The hotline is run by Expat in Denmark staff who can be contacted with regard to any matter relating to an expat’s arrival and / or stay in Denmark, with regard to issues concerning tax, housing, education, registration and other municipality matters, healthcare and finance. The relevant authorities are contacted with the caller’s question(s) and a written reply is provided within 24 hours. The hotline can be accessed from the Expat in Denmark homepage
